WELCOME TO THE KELTEK BREWERY WEBSITE. The latest news for 2008 is that KELTEK has struck gold again!
After a few years where we were not able to offer beers for the National Brewing Competition whilst we were getting established in our new brewery, this year we could and we have been immediately rewarded with the gold medal for our KELTEK 4K MILD ALE. This means that 4K MILD will now go on to the last 12 in the National Finals next year.
Thus 4K MILD also takes its place alongside our other beers, KELTEK MAGIK amd KELTEK KING that have also won gold medals in the National Brewing Competition. Of course KELTEK KING subsequently went on to become National Champion. Perhaps 4K MILD can duplicate that achievennt.
Now then, we recently sold out of Mikrocellars after we advertised them in What's Brewing, but fear not, we are making more as we speak but if you are interested please try to order in good time. They take quite a while to manufacture and whilst we would love a summer rush, the last thing we would want is to keep folks waiting too long. So please order soon if you want one for the summer. THE MIKROCELLAR remains far and away the best ever solution for keeping and dispensing the perfect, temperature controlled pint at home, in small clubs, bars hotels or restaurants. More good news is that we have also opened our off license dedicated to the sale of CORNISH BOTTLED ALES. You can see and buy these by clicking on this next link (also changes colour when you hover over it) www.cornishrealaleshop.co.uk and we plan to stock every available bottled Cornish ale for delivery nationwide. Of course it will also be possible for both trade and personal customers to collect their ales direct from the brewery where we have a full off license and shop.
Now...back to beer.....Last year we promised you a no-nonsense natural ale and it's here. With around 50% wheat malt "NATURAL MAGIK" is also unfined in the copper and unfined in the cask so it is naturally cloudy. It does not contain ISINGLASS...the dreaded fish extract collagen, (so it doesn't have the inevitable dose of sulphur dioxide preservative either) used to clear beer... so it is suitable for Vegetarians and VEGANS alike, as well as anyone else who just wants a real, natural product made from WATER, MALT, HOPS & YEAST. It's also an awsome, natural cooking ingredient!
BY THE WAY WE WOULD LIKE TO APOLOGISE TO OUR REGULAR CUSTOMERS for NATURAL MAGIK FOR RUNNING OUT OF THIS UNUSUAL PRODUCT AT CHRISTMAS. WE ONLY BREW THIS ON OUR SMALL BREWERY BUT EVEN SO COULD NEVER HAVE ANTICIPATED SELLING OUT...SO VERY VERY SORRY, and WE'LL TRY NOT TO LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN!

Many people already know how we fastidiously maintain the traditions of hand crafted brewing and we rack into casks and polypins by hand (and look out for specials like "BEHEADED" which we occasionally BOTTLE FROM THE CASK!!) but these offers are, by necessity, strictly subject to availability.
Our award winning ales Keltek Magik (Alc. 4.0% Vol.) and NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION Keltek King (Alc. 5.1% Vol) are now available in 10 & 20 litre (approximately 36 Pint) Polypins along with our two strong ales BEHEADED (7.6%) and REVENGE(6%).

Keeps ale perfect in a polypin for weeks and at the correct temperature to your liking.
By the way, we provide the beer in "proper" polypins, not the "bag in box" type.
The reason for this is that in our opinion we can rely on this durable container to resist with less likelihood of damage, especially with the stronger beers, the ongoing conversion of slow fermenting sugars.
These containers are also re-useable where customers are able to get them back to us.
They can be used in conjunction with a hand pump for delivery of the perfect pint! |
